Hideaway New Year’s Eve, 2021
Perhaps Dylan Thomas’ poem, “Don’t Go Softly in That Good Night,” applies to New Year’s Eve 2021. It has been a difficult year, this pandemic year.
Therefore, it’s about to drum the year with rock rocketing to overwhelming levels. Enter Indighost. Rock band Hulk-smash headline New Years Eve festivities at The Hideaway in Johnson City on Friday, December 31. The music starts at 10 a.m.
Vocalist Randi Denton and guitarist Dan Fehr conduct Indighost. As heard on their 2019 LP, “Satan’s Texas Vacation”, sweetness doesn’t fit into their vocabulary. On a canvas of fuzztones, Indighost splashes a rock groove that touches the psychedelic rock of 13th Floor Elevator. Oh, they’re raging, “rage, rage against the death of light,” according to Dylan Thomas.
