One of the most anticipated new albums of 2022 is the upcoming set from Shinedown. Brent Smith and his company have been working on the new music for the past two years, and the upcoming release will mark their follow-up to ‘Attention Attention’ of 2018. In anticipation of the new release, here are five things to know about the upcoming album .
The album is finished
âI can tell everyone now, because people have asked me about it. So Shinedown ‘7’ is over. We’re finishing a few things on the mastering side with our boy Ted Jensen, who’s a mastering engineer in Nashville, âBrent Smith told Rock Titan TV. “So we’ve got a few tweaks here and there, but you’re going to get a new Shinedown record.” [in] early 2022.
It’s coming soon
Deadlines for albums are often pushed back, but in August, Brent Smith told WSOU 89.5 FM of New Jersey that the album was, at the time, due in early 2022. Hopefully that estimate is still correct. . “I can tell you right away the first single, you’ll hear it in the first month of 2022. And I hope a few months later there will be a [full-length] save, âhe said.
it will be different
Smith called Shinedown’s new album “proactive” and “controversial,” two words not often associated with Shinedown. âWe wanted to put it all on the map,â Smith said in the 95.9 Rat interview. “And what I mean by that is we’ve proven that we can make these records that there’s a lot of musicality involved, and we’ve layered our records over the years because we love music and we love the sound and we love the big, epicâ¦ we try to make really cinematic records.
You can already hear a teaser of the new album
To ring in the New Year, Shinedown released a teaser for the new album. Along with the 42-second clip, which can be viewed via Instagram here, was the message: “So it startsâ¦ # nowiknowmyabcsâ¦ How about you?” # SD7 “.
The band will take the album on the road
Shinedown will hit the road later this month, starting their North American tour with Ayron Jones in San Francisco, Calif. On January 26. There’s a good chance you’ll hear at least one new single on the tour, and maybe a few more tracks outside of the new album.
